Hakuba Carbon Fiber and Magnesium Alloy tripods, 30% lighter than aluminum, also withstand pressure and temperature extremes much better than conventional designs while providing more efficient vibration dampening.
The controls are easy to use; just a quarter-turn will open or close the twist leg locks, making for fast setup and takedown. The legs come with Urethane leg protectors on top section, for better handling in cold weather.
Also included is a plastic durable "stone" bag that attachs to the tripod by clamping around each of the three legs.
The Nikon ML-L3 Wireless Remote Control acts as a wireless shutter release capable of instantly triggering the shutter without disturbing the camera.
